Voices took home two Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards this year. Our song We Found Love won both Best Mixed Collegiate Arrangement (Chris Rishel) and Best Mixed Collegiate Song. Thanks to CASA and everyone involved in the making of the track!

"We Found Love" has been selected to appear on the 2013 edition of national compilation album, Best of Collegiate A Cappella (you can check out the full track list, featuring our friends the Nor'Easters, Men in Drag, Fundamentally Sound, and many more, here)! Thank you so much to Varsity Vocals for the honor, and of course to Ed Boyer and Dave Sperandio (of diovoce) for working on the track. We're thrilled, and so thankful for the holiday gift. Happy holidays, everyone! 2012 has truly been an incredible year for us, and we can't express how grateful we are for all the amazing opportunities and people we've encountered along the way. We're going to cap it all off with the release of our original song, "Life of the Mind," to be released just before the end of the year - stay tuned!

We Found Love

Our newest song, We Found Love, is now available as a single! The track, OPB Rihanna (feat. Calvin Harris), was arranged and edited by Chris Rishel, mixed by Ed Boyer and mastered by Dave Sperandio, with album artwork by Rasha El Mouatassim Bih. We Found Love, along with Titanium, won Voices the Outstanding Arrangement award at ICCA quarterfinals and semifinals. The single is available for purchase through A Cappella Records and iTunes.

Voices' newest song, Titanium, is now available as a single through A Cappella Records. You can purchase it through ACR's website or on iTunes. You may recognize the song, OPB David Guetta feat. Sia, as part of our award-winning ICCA and BOSS sets. It also won Chris Rishel the best arrangement award at our ICCA quarterfinal and semifinal. Stay tuned for the music video, which will be coming out this summer!

ICCA Finals!

After a whirlwind weekend in New York City at ICCA Finals, where we placed fourth overall, Voices has settled back into Chicago. A huge, heartfelt thank you to all of our friends, families, and fans who supported us along the road to ICCAs. We're incredibly grateful for the opportunity, and so thankful to Varsity Vocals for providing us with an event we'll never forget. Voices: Like a BOSS

This weekend, Voices and Men In Drag traveled to Boston to compete and participate in the first ever Boston Sings a cappella festival at MIT. The weekend yielded several exciting accomplishments for Voices: we won the collegiate competition, which gave us the opportunity to open for the BOSS professional showcase, take a masterclass with Cadence, and record with pro talent. Voices was also successful at the CARA awards on Friday night: Chris Rishel won for best mixed arrangement, and we placed runner-up in three other categories: best mixed album, song (for I'd Like To) and solo (Elspeth Michaels for "I'd Like To"). Congratulations to all!

ICCA Semifinal Results...

Voices in Your Head came in first place at the ICCA Midwest Semifinal this weekend. We are so honored and excited to go to finals at the Town Hall in New York (and you can get tickets here). We are especially proud of Alex Gilewicz and Ryan Bober for their Outstanding Choreography award, and Chris Rishel for winning Outstanding Arrangement. Congratulations to the amazing Dicks and Janes and G-Men for winning runners-up!

Voices to Compete at BOSS

Voices in Your Head has been selected to compete at Boston Sings A Cappella Festival (BOSS) this April. We are so excited to travel to Boston with our friends and co-competitors Men in Drag for a weekend of workshops, concerts, parties and FIERCE COMPETITION. We will also be getting all gussied up for the red carpet (That's right! Red carpet!), as the 2012 CARAs will also be presented live at BOSS. We can't wait!

ICCA Quarterfinal Results...

Voices in Your Head is so proud to announce that we won first place at our ICCA quarterfinal yesterday! Special congratulations are due to Chris Rishel for taking home the Outstanding Arrangement award for both We Found Love and Titanium; and to Alex Gilewicz and Ryan Bober for winning Outstanding Choreography. Thank you so much to everyone who helped us get to this amazing moment, and all our fans who came out to DeKalb to support us. We are so excited to announce the start of our East Coast Winter Break Tour, a first-ever for Voices. We'll be hitting up Ithaca, Boston and finally New York, singing with some amazing collegiate groups: Brandeis Voicemale, Cornell Last Call, Ithacapella, The MIT Chorallaries, and Tufts sQ!. We'll be capping off our week-long tour with a performance in Times Square with The Red States. Along the way, we'll also be performing at high schools, connecting with alumni, and generally bonding as a ~~cult~~group. Our original song, Sharp, has been chosen by The Contemporary A Cappella Society (CASA) for their newest compilation album, Sing 8: Too Cubed. We are so honored to be chosen again (from a record number of submissions, AND as only one of three scholastic originals!) after last year's appearance of Boomerang on Sing 7. The album will be available on iTunes or a-cappella.com starting November 14th, but in the meantime... "Sharp" is now available for listening on YouTube!
