Voices will be singing the Alma Mater for the College Honors Awards assembly. Each year, students from across the College are honored for their exceptional scholastic and extracurricular performances. Accomplishments range from achievements in the sciences, arts, and humanities to noteworthy efforts on the athletic field to exceptional and committed involvement with student life. This year, President Zimmer and Dean Boyer will host a reception in honor of all College award recipients.

Voices will be performing for participants at the starting line and along the route of Walk & Roll 2010. Walk & Roll is a walking, skating and biking event held annually by the American Cancer Society to spread awareness and to raise money for cancer research, education, prevention, and patient services. Voices will be performing for for the Fifth International Conference on Speech Prosody, 2010. Speech Prosody is the only recurring international conference focused on prosody as an organizing principle for the social, psychological, linguistic, and technological aspects of spoken language; these areas of expertise are explored in more detail in the Call for Proposals, and in the makeup of the Scientific Committee. Speech Prosody 2010 seeks, in particular, to discuss the universality of prosody. Keynote addresses and special sessions will explore, in particular, the prosody of under-resourced languages and dialects, and the prosody of real-world communicative situations and speaking styles.
Voices will be performing at the the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Reva and David Logan Center for Creative and Performing Arts, the new arts center on campus set to be opened in March 2012. For more information about the new arts center, click here.
We will be having an informal concert in Hull Gate with special guest Gimble from the University of Michigan. Gimble is a co-ed group that gets their name from the famous Lewis Carroll poem, Jabberwocky. They will have just released their sixth album, Through the Looking Glass, and will by stopping by on their annual tour. Tickets are $5, but there will be a ton of awesome music, food is provided, and it's for a good cause, so it's definitely worth it! Voices In Your Head will be performing a short set again for the second week of the prospective student fair.
Each year, Schaumburg High School hosts a week dedicated to the arts, called Arts Alive, where they bring in a variety of professional events including dance, music performers, theatre and film along with visual artists. Voices is excited to be part of this year's Arts Alive and will be doing several performances.
Voices will be performing at Dance Marathon 2010. Dance Marathon is the largest collegiate philanthropy in the world and is in its 9th year at the University of Chicago. It's a 12-hour dance party where dancers raise money for charity and dance the night away! Proceeds will go to help support The Children's Place Association, an organization that helps HIV/AIDS-affected children and their families in Chicago and around the world.

Voices will be performing a short set at Washington University in St. Louis Mosaic Whispers' annual spring concert, "Splash of Color". Mosaic Whispers is the oldest co-ed a cappella group at WashU. They have been featured on BOCA, Voices Only, and most recently, alongside us on Ben Folds' a cappella compilation CD, Ben Folds Presents: University A Cappella, singing "Still Fighting It".
Voices will be guest hosting the Midwest Semifinal of the International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA). The ICHSA is the high school version of the ICCA that we competed in earlier this year. Ten high school groups will be competing for a single spot to advance to ICHSA Finals in New York City. Voices will be introducing all of the groups and will perform a short set at the end of the show while the judges are deliberating.
Voices will be opening for Chicago Men's A Cappella's (CMAC) March 12th Showcase Concert. The concert features groups from several different genres of the a cappella world, including Voices In Your Head, a mixed (co-ed) modern group; Comin' Clean, a barbershop quartet; Men In Drag, an all-female modern group; and CMAC, an all-male glee club. Doors open at 7:30 PM.
Come see Voices' big concert of the quarter. We'll be fresh off preparing for ICCAs, so if you couldn't make it up to Northwestern for our quarterfinal, you'll be able to see the three new songs that we did for that in addition to a full concert of other favorites.
We're having the University of Illinois Xtension Chords open for us, who are well-known for their entertaining performances and exceptional musicality. We'll also be doing a joint performance of John Legend's "Coming Home" with the X-Chords, so don't miss your only chance to hear that!

Voices In Your Head will be competing against nine other groups from all over the Midwest in a quarterfinal of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA). As the name suggests, ICCA is a competition that includes college a cappella groups from around the world. This is the only ICCA event in the Chicago area this year, so don't miss your opportunity to see ten excellent a cappella groups take the stage and battle it out to advance to ICCA semifinals. Voices In Your Head will be closing out Inspiration Café's first annual a cappella festival. The Inspiration Café is an invitation-only café that feeds a select group of previously homeless guests and hosts a variety of music series.

AcappellaFest is the Midwest's premiere a cappella festival, featuring hands-on workshops, master classes and Q&A sessions with some of the most highly-regarded talent in the world of a cappella music.
